Homosassa Butterfly Attraction Fun

Yesterday our family ventured to the Homosassa Butterfly Attraction in Homosassa, FL.  The boys' Grammy Great Claira from NH had flown in for a quick visit and we wanted to do something different and fun with her as well as Grammy and Pa.  It is a small place but very clean, pretty, and informative.  The boys were really interested in the lifecycle of a butterfly and we had fun wandering around the habitat.  Dima also overcame his intense fear of butterflies and learned that they are not mean creatures that attack little boys and girls that get out of bed.  Yes, you read that correctly.  Dima, and many other little boys and girls who lived in a similar situation, were threatened with butterflies if they were to sneak out of bed.  Can you imagine?  It broke my heart when we first stepped into the butterfly garden and he freaked out.  Dima's cry went back to that little baby cry that he has when he is extremely upset.  I was able to calm him and we slowly got close to butterflies.  At Dima's pace.  By the time it was time to leave he was trying to catch them and would say, "Butterflies, I love you!".
